• The prize is to high.
• Known kay people are erring to much money.
• The prize of renewal after baying professional has not been specified.
• If you opt in to professional edition there is now way out. That is you can not downgrade your site.
• Unpredictable behavior, that is sponsorship, then change is sponsorship, the professional edition. What is next if you opt in?
• The unpredictable behavior may live you stuck, that is, you have a site with a lot of contant stuck in a version whit now other way than to pay up.

thanks man, yea it was frustraiting me too, but to be Honest I dunno if this is MicroSoft shit, or inadequacy in you and me, we must know that if a link doesn’t start with http:// then it wont be considered or transferred using a (hyper text transfer protocol) which is a protocol that internet browsers append by default if you supply a link like “mysite.com”, what I did to solve my problem which was exactly your problem (“After reading your post ) is that in my insert/update code for the dynamic links, I made sure I append “http://” at the beginning of the url, and simply did nothing else for the asp:hyperlink control

I don't know, if it is different in ASP.NET. I tried this solution in a standard c# application in .NET 2.0. But browser.Document is null, so you can't call "OpenNew"-Method. I found a workaround with setting the Url of "browser" to "about:blank". This will create all necessary attributes to get the browser.Document for overwriting with your string.

The worst thing is that DNN Corp. is going to make money on all the community contributions, which seems to be somewhat unfair :( If you wish to purchase their "professional" support, you pay $6,000 for 20 incidents. Well, it's more than what you pay for a commercial CMS product such as Kentico including unlimited support. Do they think we are all stupid???

Very true, you can write bad code in anything. We do 95% ASP .NET development and have no performance problems or any issues with it. It is enterprise class, and very secure.

PHP, Ruby, Python, PERL, JSP etc. are all fine too. It's really a matter of preference and what you are building.
